Rumors of a Drake x Nike Air Force 1 have been swirling for some time. The leaks first appeared over a year ago, but it’s only now that we get our first glimpse of what could be an upcoming Nike Air Force 1 “Certified Lover Boy”.
Drake’s relationship with Nike dates back several years to the OVO Air Jordan collaborations. There was a period when it was rumored that Drake would switch sides and join adidas, although the famous beef with Pusha-T would have ended any Drizzy x Three Stripes collection.
More recently, Drake released several collections under a NOCTA Nike sub-label, as well as a “Certified Lover Boy” product line, which were supposed to serve as a promotion for Drake’s studio album of the same name. This album was due out in January 2021, but it has been delayed indefinitely.
The Nike Air Force 1, which features hearts on the outsole instead of the usual stars, as well as “Love You Forever” on the midsole where the Nike Air branding is typically featured, has yet to be released. There is no concrete information on when the shoe will be released to the public, although leaks suggest it could arrive sooner than we think.
Check out the shoe above (which appears to be constructed from better quality leather than regular Air Force 1s) and stay tuned for any info.
