Expanding its range of running shoes,
The upper of the ZoomX StreakFly features an engineered mesh upper that is lightweight and breathable like the rest of Nike Running‘s flagship shoe models. Elevating the shoe is provided by full-length ZoomX cushioned midsoles equipped with a responsive midfoot Pebax plate paired with rubber outsoles.
Featured in the “Prototype” colorway, the grip is inspired by the sample wear-tested by athletes during the development of the ZoomX StreakFly. The development of the shoe is evidenced by the marking of test numbers and the model’s predicted running distances on the medial side.
“We learned that there was a small gap in our running line between what we offered for full marathon and half marathon and what we offered for track competition. To better serve athletes who race and train on the roads for the 10k and 5k, we set out to develop a shoe that would still provide them with a comfortable, lightweight and propulsive ride with more connection to the ground,” said said Elliott Heath, Nike Running. Footwear product manager.
