World number two Naomi Osaka has uploaded a hilarious new video, showcasing her new Nike sneakers ahead of Roland Garros next week.
The 23-year-old, who is looking to win her fifth major title and her first at Roland-Garros, will wear the Air Zoom GP Turbo sneaker throughout the competition.
The shoe itself features Swarovski crystals on the swoosh, a tie-dye colourway, and an embossed heel.
In a clip posted to Twitter, Osaka can be seen laughing at herself and jumping up and down on the famous Phillipe-Chatrier court.
Osaka’s deal with Nike isn’t its only major sponsor. The Japanese star is ranked 15th in the list of the highest paid athletes in the world –– reportedly earning more than $50 million last year. Her endorsements include Tag Heuer and Louis Vuitton and she has also launched her own skincare brand as well as a swimwear line.
When it comes to his chances at Roland Garros, Osaka is unlikely to fight for silverware, having struggled on clay surfaces so far in his career.
Regardless of her progress, however, tennis fans will be eagerly awaiting the opportunity to see her in action.
The French Open starts on May 30 and ends on June 13.
