A Super Bowl season continues to pay off for the young stars of the Cincinnati Bengals.

Bengals wide receivers Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins star in a new Nike commercial. Released on May 10 as an Instagram reel, the ad features Nike’s latest football glove, the Vapor Jet 7, complete with the brand’s signature swoosh. In the reel, Chase and Higgins wear white Vapor Jet gloves while posing, throwing, and catching a soccer ball on a stadium field.

Chase and Higgins are also featured in a series of photos in a Nike Instagram post, wearing the same gloves and gear

Chase was named the 2021 NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year just days before taking the field in Super Bowl LVI in February. Chase, a first-round draft pick, had a stellar 2021-22 season, making 81 catches for 1,455 yards and 13 touchdowns. He set a new Bengals record for receiving yards during the regular season and has more than any rookie since the Super Bowl’s inception in 1966, among other accomplishments. Chase is just the third Bengals player to win Offensive Rookie of the Year and the first since 1992.

Higgins also had a standout season, hauling in 74 receptions for 1,091 yards and six touchdowns. During the Super Bowl, the wide receiver had four catches for 100 yards and scored the team’s two touchdowns.

Both Chase and Higgins were honored with temporary street signs at Cheviot as the Bengals made their Super Bowl in February. Glenmore Avenue became Chase Drive, while Davis Avenue became Tee Higgins Drive. And this year, Chase presented the MLB National League Rookie of the Year award to Cincinnati Reds second baseman Jonathan India (several Bengals threw ceremonial first pitches before Reds games in 2022, including quarterback Joe Burrow, cornerback Eli Apple, safety Vonn Bell, defensive end Trey Hendrickson and kicker Evan McPherson).

The Bengals will not participate in the NFL’s international tour, the league announced recently, but the team will travel to New Orleans for its own game against the New Orleans Saints. Burrow played at Louisiana State University in 2018 and 2019, winning the Heisman Trophy and numerous other awards. Likewise, Chase excelled at LSU in 2018 and 2019 and won numerous awards, including being named college football’s top receiver.

On Feb. 13, the Bengals lost 20-23 to the Los Angeles Rams in Super Bowl LVI, Cincinnati’s first shot at the Vince Lombardi Trophy since 1989.

In February, the Bengals announced the team’s home and away opponents for the 2022–23 season. The NFL is expected to release the full season schedule on May 12.
