Why The Nike SB Dunk Low Release Date Is So Sad

A key part of what makes Nike and its successful SB division is its collaborative efforts. And this year, the skate-focused label is set to amass its teams with Neck Face, Jordan Brand, HUF and “Why So Sad?”, the latter of which has just surfaced thanks to early footage.

“Why so sad?” is an entity created by professional skater John Rattray that focuses on fundraising and awareness to provide support for people struggling with mental health issues, and this new initiative is likely one that will likely be charity-focused . Rattray opted for the SB Dunk Low as his go-to silhouette, and he reworks it with a tantalizing backdrop. The Swooshes are given a blue coating, but with normal wear they reveal a yellow tint which may serve as a reminder of the idea that people hide their battles from society. Additionally, a chicken figurine riding a skateboard that was previously used on older merchandise has been embroidered on the side heel. Different shades of blue alternate between the upper panels while the outsoles feature a translucent exterior.

A launch date is still unknown at this time, but expect more information about this release to surface shortly.

For other news, Matthew M. Williams recently teased his upcoming Nike Slide collab.
